No one can forget the nerdy and socially awkward character portrayed by Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg’s hot runaway dad character in the 2015 movie Daddy’s Home. What many might have missed is the excellent portrayal of Megan, the biological daughter of Mark Wahlberg’s character. The character was played by a bright-eyed beauty, Scarlett Estevez.

She was seven years old at the time she starred in the movie but that wasn’t her first time in front of the big screen. She has starred in over 25 national commercials from the age of three. Following the success of Daddy’s Home and its sequel in 2017, she has continued to etch a name for herself as an established child star. She is also playing the role of Trixie in the hit television series Lucifer.

Scarlett Estevez Bio – Age

Scarlett was born in the city of Los Angeles, California, in the United States. She has lived here all her life. There is no public information about her education. Since her career started pretty early, it is unclear if she went to regular school, had a personal tutor or was home-schooled.

Scarlett was more or less unemployed for roughly only the first three years of her life. By the time she clocked three, she made her foray into the big screen with commercials and subsequently, photo shoots from some of the biggest brands. She did commercials for the likes of Toyota, Apple, Cheerios, Disney, Porsche, Minute Maid, KFC, Home Depot, etc.

And then came the movies. Her first gig was in an episode of the pilot television series Redeeming Dave in 2013. Here she played the character known as “The Cute Girl”. The movie titled The Magic Bracelet was created for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Scarlett Estevez made it three roles in a year when she appeared in her first feature film And Then There Was You. She played the role of the character named Abigail.

The next year was a relatively quiet year for the talented child actress. She only starred in a short TV series inspired by Nickelodeon. The series was titled Junior Eye.

In 2015, she appeared in two television series, The Massively Mixed-Up Middle School Mystery, and If You Give A Mouse A Cookie. In the latter, she played the character, Esme Louise. Her biggest role yet came in the same year in the movie Daddy’s Home. Estevez played the role of a little girl named Megan who lived with her mother and step-father. She got to work alongside established acts such as , , and Linda Cardellini.

The success of this movie and her excellent portrayal landed her on yet another big project. She became the character Beatrice “Trixie” Espinoza on FOX’s blockbuster television series Lucifer. She joined the FOX project in its debut season in 2015 and has been a regular on the series ever since.

While working on Lucifer, the actress made out time to appear in the sequel to Daddy’s Home in 2017. In the same year, she appeared on the 42nd episode of the 6th season of Hallmark Channel’s family-oriented television series, Home & Family.

Estevez’s Family: Parents and Siblings

Not every parent would let their little ones take on such a hectic schedule that early in their lives; Scarlett’s parents apparently thought differently. The child star has talked in interviews about how her parents helped support her by stream-lining the kind of commercial and movie roles she took. She praises them often for their support from the onset.

There is nothing known about Scarlett’s mom, but her father’s name is Anthony Estevez. He deals in real estate through his own website. She has two siblings; an older sister named Eloise Estevez, and a brother, Ben Estevez.

The child star’s talent shines through wherever she goes – even against her own siblings. Scarlett’s older sister, Eloise had gone to audition for a role in a commercial for Porsche. However, for some reason, Scarlett who was three at the time was also permitted to audition. She ended up getting the role ahead of her sister.

2. Scarlett is good friends with Owen Vaccaro

Vaccaro is the kid who played Dylan, brother of Scarlett’s character Megan in the Daddy’s Home and its sequel in 2017. They were friends long before they ever got to work together on set.

However, the friendship extends beyond just the two of them. Their parents are friends too. Scarlett and Owen’s family often get to spend a lot of time in each other’s houses and do stuff together. She says that working with her best bud, Owen was the highlight of her time as a member of the Daddy’s Home cast. Owen also appeared with her on Hallmark’s series Home & Family.

3. Scarlett Estevez is a niece of famous actress Liza Weil

Scarlett isn’t the only one with the acting genes in the family. Besides her older sister, Scarlett aunt is the popular American actress, Liza Weil. Weil is known for her portrayal of the character Paris Geller in the highly successful 2000s CW series Gilmore Girls. She also reprised the role in the Netflix adaptation of the series Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.
