Steve Jobs’s Bio, Age

Steve Jobs was born in San Francisco, California, on February 24, 1955. Joanne Schieble and Syrian-born John Jandali, two university students, gave birth to Steven Jobs. Clara (née Hagopian) and Paul Reinhold Jobs adopted him and nurtured him. Jobs’ adoptive father worked as a mechanic for the Coast Guard. In 1946, he married Hagopian, an Armenian-American, but their attempts to start a family were stymied when Hagopian had an ectopic pregnancy, prompting them to contemplate adoption in 1955. Jobs’ given name was Abdul Lateef Jandali, and his zodiac sign was Pisces.

Steve’s original mother Schieble was initially upset with Paul and Clara’s adoption because neither of them had a college education. She even went to court and refused to sign the adoption paperwork. She later gave her consent after the pair agreed to pay for Steve’s college tuition.

Jobs had a lifetime interest in electronics and design as a result of Paul’s encouragement to play with electronics in their garage. He was interested in learning about new discoveries and technological breakthroughs, but not in sports or other extracurricular activities that did not include electronics or gadgets.

Jobs went to a local high school in California before enrolling at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. He was an extraordinary student with excellent achievements during his college studies, despite being a little difficult to teach during his formal education. He also took a calligraphy class after dropping out of Reed College after the first semester because he thought he was wasting his parents’ money.

Steve Jobs’ Height

He was 6 feet 2 inches tall weighing almost  70 kg. He had dark brown hair and eyes.

Steve Jobs’ Career

Working with Atari computers was Job’s first real computer job. Jobs became acquainted with Steve Wozniak during his time at Atari. Jobs admired this computer specialist, whom he had met in 1971 for the first time

He saved money while working at Atari for his trip to India. He finally decided to travel to India in mid-1974 with his college friend Daniel Kottke to seek spiritual enlightenment from Neem Karoli Baba at his Kainchi ashram, but the Baba had died in 1973. So he traveled to India and returned to the United States after 7 months of travel before Daniel Kottke.

Wozniak created the first Apple I computer in 1976. Apple computers were then set up by Jobs, Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne. Apple computers were initially sold out of Jobs’ parents’ garage. Jobs and Wozniak rebuilt their computer so that it could be sold to individual users. The Apple II was released in 1977, and it sold $2.7 million in its first year. Within three years, the company’s sales had increased to $200 million. This was one of the most extraordinary episodes of corporate expansion in American history. Jobs and Wozniak have created a brand-new market for personal computers. Personal computers ushered in a completely new era of data processing.

He unveiled the Lisa in early 1983. It was created for folks with no prior computer knowledge in mind. However, because it was more expensive than personal computers sold by competitors, it did not sell well. International Business Machines was Apple’s main rival (IBM). Apple was believed to have lost half of its market share (a percentage of an industry’s revenues held by a single company) to IBM by 1983.

Jobs created the first Macintosh computer in 1984. It was the world’s first commercially successful home computer with a graphical user interface (based on Xerox Parc’s mouse driver interface). This was a watershed moment in home computing, and the notion has since proved crucial in subsequent home computers. In 1985, Jobs resigned from Apple and left the firm. After Jobs left Apple, the Macintosh continued to struggle.

Jobs founded NeXT computers after quitting Apple. This was never a big hit, and it never got a lot of people to buy it. In the 1990s, however, NeXT software was employed as a framework in Apple Store and iTunes Store WebObjects. Jobs bought Pixar Animation Studios from director George Lucas (1944–) in 1986. Pixar was a computer animation studio. Pixar released Toy Story nine years later, which was a tremendous box office success. Pixar went on to develop Toy Story 2 and A Bug’s Life, all of which was distributed by Disney, as well as Monsters, Inc. All of these movies have been huge hits. Monsters, Inc. has the most successful opening weekend of any animated picture ever.

Apple paid $429 million for NeXT in 1996. Apple had fallen far behind rivals such as Microsoft at the time, and it was struggling to make a profit.

Jobs said in November 1997 that Apple would sell computers directly to customers over the Internet and by phone. It was the third-largest e-commerce site on the Internet inside a week. Jobs was designated interim CEO of Apple in September 1997. In 1998, Jobs announced the launching of the iMac, a computer that offered powerful computing at a low cost. In July 1999, Apple introduced the iBook. This laptop comes in a variety of vibrant colors and is clam-shaped.

In 2010, he unveiled the iPad, a ground-breaking new type of tablet computer. Despite his deteriorating health, Jobs stayed at Apple until August 2011, when he quit.

Steve Jobs’ Wife

In his early twenties, Steve Jobs dated Chrisann Brennan. The couple dated for over five years until breaking up in 1977, when Brennan became pregnant with their daughter Lisa. Even though Jobs denied being the father of the child, the paternity test proved him to be the father of the child.

Jobs was scheduled to speak at Stanford Business School in October 1989. Lauren Powell, a recent business school graduate, was there when he met her. Jobs dashed out after her after the lecture, met her in the parking lot, and invited her out to dinner. Steve, 36, and Lauren, 27, began spending a lot of time together and married in Yosemite National Park a year and a half later.

Powell was pregnant with the couple’s oldest child, Reed, at the time of the wedding. Then there were their daughters, Erin in 1995 and Eve in 1998. He became a family man after his marriage and the birth of their children. Until 2011, the couple was blissfully married.

Steve Job’s Net Worth

The net worth of Jobs was estimated to be around $10.2 billion at the time of his death in 2011.

Steve Jobs’ Death

He was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in 2003. Jobs struggled with health concerns for the next three years. He informed his employees in mid-2004 that he had a malignant tumor in his pancreas. Jobs revealed that he had a rare, much less aggressive type of pancreatic cancer called an islet cell neuroendocrine tumor, which has a significantly better prognosis.

In July 2004, he underwent a pancreaticoduodenectomy (or “Whipple surgery”), which appeared to be successful in removing the malignancy. Chemotherapy and radiation therapy were not used on Jobs. Only Jobs’ wife, doctors, and Iger and his wife were aware that Jobs’ cancer had returned as of January 2006. Jobs told Iger confidentially that he intended to live long enough to see his son Reed graduate from high school in 2010.

He had a liver transplant in 2009, but major health issues reappeared two years later. He worked at Apple on and off until August 2011, when he ultimately retired to focus on his failing health. On October 5, 2011, in Palo Alto, California, he died of cardiac arrest as a result of complications from his pancreatic cancer.
