Timothy Michael Kaine, also known as Tim Kaine is a popular American Politician who has served in different political offices in America such as the 38th Lieutenant Governor and the 70th Governor.

Kaine who is also a US attorney is currently serving as the junior US Senator from Virginia, a portfolio he has been holding since 2013 after his election to the Senate in 2012. The Democrat was also nominated by his political party, the Democratic Party, to serve as Hillary Clinton’s running mate and as US Vice President in the 2016 elections.

Biography

Kaine was born on February 26, 1958, as the eldest of three children born to Albert Alexander Kaine Jr., a welder and his wife, Kathleen (née Burns), in St Paul, Minnesota’s most populated city.

A Christian by religion, Kaine grew up and had his basic education in the city of Kansas where his parents moved to when he was just two years old. He attended Rockhurst High School a private Catholic, Jesuit, all-boys, the preparatory school where he began to have an experience of leadership, serving as the school’s student body President before his graduation in 1976.

In 1979, he was admitted into the University of Missouri for his B.A in Economics which he completed in three years and moved on to Harvard Law School to obtain a certificate as a lawyer, a career he always longed to pursue from his early age. He graduated in 1983 with a J.D. degree and began to practice his newly found a career in Richmond, Virginia where he served for 17 years, specializing in fair housing law and representing clients who are discriminated against on the basis of disability or race.

Unlike her husband who is a Democrat, Ann is a Republican as she was raised in a family with a great interest in politics. Tim Kaine got married to Ann at a Roman Catholic Church in Richmond, in November 1984 and they have been living together as a couple with their three children- Nat, Woody and Annella.
