Trai Byers is an American actor who is famous for his work on Fox’s hit TV show, Empire, where he played Andre Lyon – the sharp-minded and business inclined member of the Lyon family. The man who was relatively unknown before the show has seen a healthy rise in popularity and his fan base since the beginning of the show.

Trai Byers was born on the 19th of July 1983 in Kansas City, Kansas State. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Communications after completing his high-school education in Georgia. With a father who was in the US Air Force, Trai Byers’ family moved around a lot. However, in pursuit of a career in the arts, he attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles and the Yale School of Drama where he earned a Masters of Fine Art.

The handsome actor made his first appearance on television with a recurring role in ABC’s soap opera, All My Children in 2011. In the following year, he got a role in the CW teen soap opera, 90210.

Trai Byers, who so far has found limited success in Hollywood, has already starred in two iconic projects that represent the African American community. Before his role in the Fox hit, Empire, he starred in the 2014 historical drama film, Selma, a critically acclaimed civil rights era drama by the director, Ava DuVernay.

The actress was raised in the Cayman Islands from infancy but upon moving to the United States, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts from the University of South Florida. She also has a Master’s of Fine Arts degree from the University of California. Grace is an author, having written a book in 2018 about her experiences as a child of deaf parents. She was cast as a series regular in the second season of Fox’s superhero drama, The Gifted.
