When you talk about celebrities that are multi-talented and verstaile, you can’t end without talking about Tyson Ritter. The Oklahoma native is a singer/songwriter who is well-known as the lead vocalist of U.S alternative rock band The All-American Rejects; Ritter is also a multi-instrumentalist, a pianist and bassist for the band group. When I said Tyson Ritter is multi-talented, it wasn’t just a joke, he is also a model and an actor well-known for playing Dane on Amazon Video’s Betas, Oliver Rome on NBC series Parenthood and on several other films and TV series including The House Bunny, Preacher, Miss You Already, Lodge 49, etc.

Tyson Ritter’s Bio, Age

Ritter was born as Tyson Jay Ritter on the 24th of April 1984 in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to Tracy Jean Rains and Tim Jay Ritter. Tyson and his siblings (Zack S. Ritter and Bailey Ritter) graduated from Stillwater High School, the same school their mom works. His older brother Zack is an endodontist.

Ritter has always been interested in the arts, especially in music. He actually met his bandmates in middle school at a party where he was a bouncer. In 1999, while still in high school, Ritter and Nick Wheeler formed a band named The All-American Rejects. The group originally included Jesse Tabish who would later split from the group

Nick and Ritter would later include Chris Gaylor (drummer) and Mike Kennerty (backing vocalist) to the group while they (Nick and Ritter) remain the band’s songwriters. Wheeler is the primary composer and Tyson Ritter is the main lyricist.

While in High, the band made a demo simply entitled The All-American Rejects. Their first self-titled studio album. The All-American Rejects was released in 2003 under Dreamworks Records label. The album achieved mainstream success and received RIAA platinum certification. The band currently have four studio albums to their credit and have sold over ten million albums and four million singles worldwide. Ritter announced in February 2018, that he is putting together a band and record of his own

Asides from music, Tyson Ritter has also demonstrated his talent in acting too. He is well-known for playing Dane on Amazon Video’s Betas, Oliver Rome on NBC series Parenthood and on several other films and Tv series like The House Bunny, House Preacher, Miss You Already, Lodge 49 etc. In 2013, he released a solo song “Air” which was featured on Parenthood. He also wrote “Collide” which was also featured on the same series.

He appeared as Hipster #1 in 2014 biographical drama film Love and Mercy. He also played singer Gregg Allman in the biopic Midnight Rider, the movie was, unfortunately, canceled following the death of Sarah Jones (Camera assistant).

His Net Worth

The multi-talented artist is currently worth $3 million. His net worth is basically earnings from his music and acting career and also from his other investments. Ritter has investments in various tech companies including Hooch App. It is a location and subscription based mobile app that offers its users one alchoholic drink per day that is receiveable in some bars based on the users location.

Is He Gay?

As far as we know Tyson Ritter is not gay, at least he hasn’t said so. However, in 2017, his band released a lead single titled Sweat and a second one titled Close your eyes from their forthcoming fifth studio album which may have suggested something.

In the first part of the video narrative, Tyson Ritter played Besty – a cross-dresser who is also a sex worker/ He sneaks out at night to work and goes home to his nuclear family very early in the morning. In the daytime, Besty hosts a family get together but soon becomes a little bit stressful and uncomfortable when he realizes there is still nail polish on his fingers from the night before.

The video came under severe scrutiny from the transgender community. Some say it is disrespectful for a straight, white, cis-male plays a transgender woman who chooses sex work and that it is also dangerous since such women (transgender) are being attacked and killed at an alarming rate. Others feel his Besty character perpetuates the stereotype that “men in dresses” are deviants who get their sexual fix from simply paying johns.

Ritter, however, said the video was only meant to portray the functioning identity crisis and expectations on how people are supposed to be in public places.

Who is His Wife?
