She was born on September 6, 1954, to her parents; Madelon Montross, her mother, and Joseph Tyree Sneed III, her father. She is of English and German ancestry. Carly started developing an interest in business and politics when she was little given that her father was a professor of law. He was an authority in the academic field. Due to the nature of her father’s job, Fiorina had to change school severally as the family relocated a lot of times. She first attended Channing School in London before changing five more times to other schools. But she finally graduated from Charles E. Jordan High School in Durham, North Carolina.
She then proceeded to Stanford University where she studied Philosophy and Medieval history. Carly also attended UCLA School of Law. However, after realizing she had no interest in the field, she dropped out after a semester. While trying to get her priorities in order, Fiorina worked different jobs before she continued her education. It was also Frank’s second marriage and he already had two daughters with his first wife. Carly and Frank are very supportive of each other.
In 1998, Frank left his job at the AT&T to support his wife‘s career, an act that is still widely talked about on various platforms. With Frank, Fiorina had two foster daughters and none of her own. One of the girls, Lori Ann died in 2009 from alcoholism and drug addiction.
