After her graduation from university, Whitney Way Thore took up a teaching job in South Korea where she taught English. After a while in the Asian country, she returned to the US to take up a job on 107.5 KZL’s Jared & Katie in the Morning radio show as an on-air producer.

Thore caught the attention of many people after she released a video titled ‘A Fat Girl Dancing’ on the KZL’s YouTube channel. Whitney Way Thore is the daughter of Glenn and Barbara Thore. She has an older brother named Hunter, who is a guitarist in the metal band Plague of Jackals. The TV personality also dated Avi Lang. The couple went out for about six months before things got sour between them. She had discovered that Lang was engaged to someone else named Nada Louis and that he was only cheating on Louis with her. The news of Lang’s infidelity was received with shock by the two women involved. Rather than fight each other, the two became friends and left their cheating partner single. She attributes her overweight to the polycystic ovary syndrome which she was diagnosed with.
