Samantha Lynne Hanratty who is more popularly known as Sammi Hanratty was born on September 20th, 1995 in Scottsdale, Arizona, U.S as the youngest of five sisters and three brothers. She attended Desert Trails Elementary School in Phoenix, Arizona.

Sammi is known for roles in movies and TV series dating back to 2005. Her first appearance on TV series was on Season 6 of Passions where she portrayed the role of Adele in 2005, that same year she made appearances in Charmed, Drake & Josh, House, and Last Laugh.

Sammi Hanratty went on to appear in other series including recurring roles in Hello Sister, Goodbye Life (2006) as Celia; The Suite Life of Zack & Cody as Holly; Stephen King’s Desperation as Pie Carver and The Unit as Jen Gerhardt alongside her sister and fellow actress Danielle and more recently she has played Kassidi Gallagher on Shameless (2017).

An uncredited minor role in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest in 2006 marked her debut on the big screen and she has not looked back ever since. She has gone on to play roles in ABC’s The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006), Boogeyman 2 (2007), An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong (2009) – this was her first lead role – and The Greening of Whitney Brown (2011) among several others. Through the course of her career, she has worked with popular directors and actors such as Robert Zemeckis, Jim Carrey, and Ray Liotta.

Love Life

Sammi started dating actor 22-year-old actor Ryan Ochoa in 2002 and the relationship lasted for seven years. The two separated in 2009 and she is currently in a relationship with 26-year-old YouTube star and gamer Lucas Watson. They have been together since 2016. The petite beauty stands at 5 ft 1″

Headstart in TV commercials

Sammi’s career in showbiz began with TV commercials after she moved to Los Angeles. Long before playing roles in movies and TV series, she appeared in commercials for some well-known brands including McDonald’s, Build-a bear and Pringles. She even came to be known as the Pringles girl as a result of starring in two commercials for the brand.

Sibling actresses

Two of Sammi’s older sisters are also actresses. Ash Hanratty played roles in I am Legend, Takers and TV series Law and Order. Sammi’s other actress sister is Danielle Hanratty who’s roles include TV action-drama series Unit in which Sammi also appeared.

Tattoos

Everyone has something the indulge in once in a while. For Sammi, it has got to be tattoos. She has six different tattoos on her body. Her first tattoo was in July 2014, a cross on her right ring finger. She got a cross tattooed on her wrist in September 2015. As a tribute to her parents, Sammi got a large black dragonfly tattooed on her left ankle in April 2016. In July 2017, with the help of artist Tim Hendricks, she got another tattoo, this time an eagle behind her right ear. In November, she got a tattoo of a green four-leaf clover on her elbow. In April 2018, Sammi got another inking of floral vines on her left side. She also has a tattoo of a dragonfly on her ankle.

Childhood Experiences

As a child, Sammi had a bunch of intriguing experiences one of which was having a recurring nightmare of a girl with no eyes always wanting to shave her head. Before the age of 13, Sammi had broken both ankles, burned her hand, and punctured an artery in her foot. Also as a kid, movies made her cry and she confesses to crying while watching any movie (romantic, fiction, drama, horror) even as an adult.
