Who Is Annabelle Wallis?

Annabelle Frances Wallis is born on the 5th of September 1984 in Oxford, England. When she was one and a half years old, her family moved to Cascais, Portugal, where she was raised in a farm at the outskirts of Lisbon. Although not much information is available on her parents, it is known that Annabelle has a brother named Francis Wallis. She is a niece to the late acclaimed actor – and is a cousin to the actors Jared Harris, Damian Harris and Jamie Harris

The Oxford-born actress went to Saint Dominic’s International School located in Sao Domingos de Rana. As a teenager, she had the aspiration to be an anthropologist and to travel the world. However, her passion for acting won and she chose to pursue a career in the field. After spending seventeen years in Portugal, Annabelle Wallis returned back home to London and decided to face her acting career full time.

Career

Before moving back to London, Annabelle Wallis had done several Portuguese short films in an attempt to make a name for herself in the industry. While in London, she appeared in a few advertisements before deciding to attend a drama school.

Her first acting job in Britain was in the 2005 Indian film Dil Jo Bhi Kahey. She played the lead role Sophie Besson (Savirti Pradhan); sadly, the movie was not a success. That same year, she appeared in an episode of Jericho as Lizzie Way. Next was the film True True Lie in 2006 where she portrayed the character called Paige. In 2007, she was in the television film Diana: Last Days of a Princess as Kelly Fisher. She later appeared in the film Steel Trap as Melanie.

Annabelle Wallis also starred in the film Right Hand Driver as Ruth and television film Ghost Town as Serena in 2009. All through 2009-2010, she was cast in a recurring role as Jane Seymour in the Showtime drama series The Tudors. This role served as her most notable performance and breakthrough as an actress. In the same year, she was cast as Dorel in The Lost Future.

Annabelle Wallis was in several TV shows and films released in 2011 including the film W.E. where she played the role of Arabella Green then she landed the minor role of Amy in X-Men: First Class. Annabelle later appeared in two episodes of Strike Back: Project Dawn as Dana Van Rijn and appeared in four episodes of Pan Am as Bridget Pierce. From 2013 to 2016, she played the main role of Grace Burgess/Shelby in the British television drama Peaky Blinders.
