Born in Columbia, South Carolina, in the U.S, Kelsey is of American nationality with a mixed ethnicity of Cherokee, English, and Chinese. She has two younger siblings, a brother and a sister, with the brother being two years younger and the sister eight years younger. Kelsey whose birth sign is Virgo was raised in Columbia alongside her two younger siblings.

The promising star’s educational background can be traced to Hammond School in Columbia where she attended high school and later proceeded to Columbia University to pursue a Bachelor’s degree.
