Laughs, love and life lessons encapsulate the theme of the family series, Family Reunion. The first season of this Meg DeLoatch family TV show premiered on July 10, 2019, on the streaming media, Netflix and it had 10 episodes – with each episode lasting 25-34 minutes. Due to the success of the first season, many fans are excited for season 2 of Family Reunion.

About Family Reunion

For those who are not familiar with this series and are looking for a family series to add to their collection, Family Reunion is a good stop. It follows a family of six – Cocoa McKellan and her husband, Moz McKellan, with their four children, Jade, Shaka, Mazzi, and Ami – who move from Seattle, Washington to Columbus, Georgia for a family reunion and decides to stay there to be closer to their extended family.

The move becomes a tricky business with awkward moments as they discover generational differences. Cocoa and Moz try to be better parents, while also looking out for obstacles that could cause a problem for their children. Moz’s parents, M’Dear and Grandpa appear as recurring characters in the series alongside other extended family members. Season 1 ends with the McKellan family being targeted by the local police and are contemplating moving back to Seattle. Will they remain or have they had enough?

Will There Be Family Reunion Season 2?

It is official, Family Reunion has been renewed for another season. This announcement came in September 2019. Despite this news, not much has been revealed about this new season. It still remains uncertain when it will premiere or what this new season will be about.

With a Christmas special and nine more episodes of season one on its way, a lot more questions have been asked about what Family Reunion season 2 holds for fans.

As of October 2019, nothing has been said by the producers or the distributors of Family Reunion about the cast that will be returning on the show and new appearances. Anthony Alabi as Moz McKellan

Anthony Alabi plays the lead role as the husband to Cocoa and the father of four kids, Moz McKellan. Prior to his acting career, Anthony was an NFL football player and since his switch, he has bagged acting gigs in series like Bosch and Raven’s Home. He has also appeared as a guest cast member in Malibu Rescue, Insecure, Modern Family, and The Mick among others.

Talia Jackson as Jade McKellan

Talia Jackson plays Jade McKellan, the first daughter of Moz and Cocoa McKellan. Talia is known for her previous appearance in an episode of Grey’s Anatomy. She has also appeared in movies like A Green Story and Raised By Wolves.

Isaiah Russell-Bailey as Shaka McKellan

Isaiah Russell-Bailey is popular not only for being one of the lead characters, Shaka, in this series but also for his appearance on the CBS show, Criminal Minds. He also appeared in Throwback Holiday and Raven’s Home.

Cameron Wright as Mazzi McKellan

Cameron J. Wright played the role of Mazzi in the show. This series marks Cameron’s debut TV role. He later landed a role in Netflix’s Tall Girl which premiered in September 2019. He is expected to reprise his role in the season 2 of Family Reunion.

Jordyn Raya James as Ami McKellan

Jordyn Raya James, who plays the youngest daughter in the McKellan clan, also appeared in ‘ Homecoming. The California-born actress made her TV debut in 2014 on Bet on Your Baby.
