On the 11th of December and in the year 1993, the birth of the Mexican actress was registered in Heroica Ciudad de Tlaxiaco, Oaxaca. Her father whose identity and occupation are not known is Mixtec while her mother, a maid, is Triqui. It is said that her mother raised her as a single mom but she managed to give her a sound education. Though she never went to any film school or got any training in the performing arts, Yalitza holds a degree in early childhood education while another one in pre-school education is in the works. Details about the schools she attended as a child have not been made public.

There is nothing that can be credited regarding what inspired her venture into acting as she never considered building a career in the profession. In fact, she landed the role of her debut appearance in 2018 after her sister, whom she accompanied to the audition, developed cold feet; Yalitza decided to give it a try instead.
