The series created by the legendary (her other credits include 30 Rock and many episodes of SNL) and Robert Carlock (also known for his work on 30 Rock) stars the endearing comedian Ellie Kemper as the lead character, Kimmy Schmidt aka Kemper, a 29-year-old who after escaping from being held captive in a doomsday cult for 15 years is determined to live her life with a positive attitude. In a bid to restart her life, she relocates to New York and becomes the roommate of a struggling actor Titus Andromedon portrayed by Tituss Burgess. The series premiered in 2015 and closed her curtains in 2019 with an interactive special slated for 2020.
