Nick Di Paolo is a standup comedian, actor, writer, and presenter. Basically known as a comedian, his career in stand-up comedy kicked off only because he got tired of his salesman job in 1987. He was fascinated by comedians like David Letterman, Mark Douglas, and others who were top American comedians in his youth. This and the fact that he was a funny fellow who made people laugh while in school helped him in discovering his talent.
He has gone on to appear on shows such as The Arsenio Hall Show, Late Night Show With David Letterman, and so many others. He was also taken his career a step forward and featuring in films such as Caesar Salad (1990), Tomorrow Night (1998), Artie Lange Beer League (2006), and others. Nick Di Paolo – Biography
Nick Di Paolo was born Nicholas Rocco Di Paolo, on January 30, 1962, in Danvers, Massachusetts to his parents, Nick Di Paolo Sr and Diana Di Paolo. After he graduated from Denver High School in 1980, he went further to the University of Maine. While in the university, he played football as a running back for the Maine Black Bears. He graduated from college in 1984 with a bachelors degree in Marketing.
After college, Nick started working as he moved between several jobs. He worked as a food salesman and also as a field marketer before he stumbled upon standup comedy which was not so popular at the time. While at college, he was the jester of the class and made his classmates and even colleagues at work laugh. And so with encouragement from his friend, he kicked off a career in standup comedy which was for him more fulfilling than his time as a ‘white collar’ worker.
In his young age, he enjoyed comedy and comedians on television shows like Jay Leno on The Merv Griffin Show and David Letterman on The Mike Douglas Show among others. These comic greats had a great deal on influence on him as they helped him form a foundation for his career. Although he always had the desire to try out stand-up comedy, he wasn’t confident enough but he went into it after all after he realized that his sales job wasn’t fulfilling.
His first appearance on stage was in the year 1987 in an open mic night at Stitches in Boston. Although it was just for just five minute, it went quite well and so he decided to go into it full time. He went to Los Angeles, California to further his career in 1992 and it was in Los Angeles that he started appearing in television and film with small roles in projects such as Grace Under Fire, an American sitcom where he was a bartender.
Nick Di Paolo was on National Television on The Arsenio Hall Show and so many others. It was also in Los Angeles that he met Artie Lange a comedian and actor and they became friends.
In June 2001, when he was living in Queens in New York City he appeared on Late Night Show With David Letterman. He was a host in an afternoon show on WFNY from 2006 to 2007. He was also in other comedy shows like Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn, The Comedy Central Roast of Jeff Foxworthy, Comedy Central Roast of Denis Lear, other Comedy Central shows. He starred in Artie Lange’s feature film Artie Lange Beer League in 2006.
He was the host of a radio talk show Faction Talk which started in May 2017 and was canceled in April 2017. The cancellation was due to comments made by Nick on his Twitter account which the management found offensive. Though Nick admitted he was wrong, he insisted that the cancellation of the show was a harsh punishment saying that he should have been suspended instead.

Nothing much is known about his family, except that he bears the same name with his father Nick Di Paolo Sr and that his mother’s name is Diana Di Paolo. We also got to know that he has a brother and although his name is not known, it was discovered that both siblings attended the same university.
He is married to Andi Hughes, an actress who has starred in movies like; Plan B (1997) and I Am My Resume (2003). They got married on March 15, 2003, and are still together with no rumor of a divorce.
