The series has experienced a cast turnover as any TV series. While some actors have left the season voluntarily, some have been written out by the writers as the story progresses. Here is a list of some top actors who have left the series.
1. Rick Cosnett as Eddie Thawne
He was Joe West’s partner and Iris West’s boyfriend. He only featured in the first season. He kills himself to prevent Reverse-Flash from being born.
2. Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora West- Allen
She featured as Barry and Iris’s daughter. Her tragic exit was at the end of season 5 when the season finale erased her from existence. It’s uncertain if the character will return in the future and even if she does, it might not be with the same actress.
3. Chris Klein as Cicada
Cicada is one of the biggest Villian to exit the show in recent times. He suffered an early and unexpected exit when his niece who is from the future killed him and takes over Cicada.
4. Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West (Kid Flash)
Sadly, his character didn’t reach its full potential before leaving the show. While nothing was confirmed, it was rumored that the writers complained that having 2 speedsters made the story more difficult to write. Ironically, they introduced recurring speedsters in the future seasons.
5. Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart
Leonard Snart was a villain and rival of Barry Allen. He was a worthy opponent and his interpretation of his role was well received. Fans grew to love him and he became some sort of anti-hero. It was very sad when he announced his exit from the show in 2018.
6. Neil Sandilands as Clifford DeVoe
Adding some good spice to the series, DeVoe was the first villain of Flash that wasn’t a speedster. He was a good addition to the series and was manipulative and arrogant. His defeat signaled his exit from the show.
7. Robbie Amell as Ronnie Raymond
He was the Firestorm of The Flash and he featured in very few episodes.
8. Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein
Victor Garber was a cast of The Flash that was easily loved. He exited the series by death during the Earth-X crisis. His exit was sad especially for the lovers and followers of his character but it was a befitting end.
9. Teddy Sears as Zoom
The character of Zoom worked hard to best Barry, something he nearly did. In the end, he was consumed by the Time Wraiths.
10. Violett Beane as Jesse Quick
It’s uncertain if Violett Beane has left the show as she has appeared in just a few episodes and continues to feature in other prominent roles outside the show.
11. Tom Felton as Julian Albert
The transition of Julian Albert in the series was quite impressive. Tom played the role of a cynical unintentional villain who was under mind control. He then turned and became a useful member of the team.
12. Katee Sackhoff as Amunet Black
Katee featured as a side villain and was last seen in season 4. Although she was mentioned and referred to a handful of times in season 5.
13. Jessica Camacho as a Gypsy
Another cast of The Flash that left, she came on the scene as a bounty hunter on the heels of H.R. She then fell in love with a hero (Cisco Ramon) who had her kind of skill set. They eventually drifted apart and she hasn’t been on the show since then.
The first 2 episodes (115 and 116) of The Flash season 6 has been slated to be released on the 8th and 15th of October 2019. With the various speculations agog on social media, there hasn’t been any official announcement about any major addition to the cast. Although it is worth mentioning that Todd Helbing who has been the showrunner from inception is stepping down to work on other projects. He is to be replaced by Eric Wallace who joined the show in season four.
