In addition to his acclaimed job as a stand-up comedian, American funnyman Greg Fitzsimmons is also a writer, producer, television and radio host. He is known for hosting the award-winning MTV series Idiot Savants in the 1990s.
He started with stand-up comedy during his college days and went on to grow his craft to cover other areas. He has currently made appearances on top radio and TV shows like The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O’Brien as well as The Ellen DeGeneres Show. On April 5, 1966, the comedian was born in New York City, New York where he grew up in Tarrytown. His father, a New York City radio personality Bob Fitzsimmons, and mother Patricia Fitzsimmons named him Gregory Sebastian Fitzsimmons at birth.
There are no details available about the schools he attended for his early education but he got his bachelor’s degree from Boston University where his career as a comedian also began. Perhaps inspired by his father who was already an established radio presenter, Fitzsimmons showed great potentials in his budding days and in no time, he was rubbing shoulders with the big shots in the industry.
