Cody Connelly – Bio, Age
He was born on August 30, 1987, in the US to his parents, Sean Connelly and Darci Dembeck. He is an older brother to Tylar Connelly his younger sibling. Cody Connelly was a little handyman at a young age, a talent that metamorphosed into something more significant as the years went by. Getting his first bike at the age of 5 was enough motivation and inspiration to young Cody who guarded it with everything he had. As a kid, he would join his father to work on their bikes and gradually learned how to maintain them.
Cody Connelly attended Valley Central High School and graduated in 2005. He also enrolled at the American Motorcycle Institute (AMI) where he got trained in motorcycle building. During this time Connelly was in his teens and was already working with motorcycle company, Orange County Choppers (OCC) in Orange County, New York. He had left OCC for a while to be able to train at AMI and later returned to work with the company.
Connelly was featured as part of the OCC on American Chopper. As part of his exploits with the company, he together with his counterparts, designed ‘The Cody Project’ a unique bike that made rounds on the show. The bike was showcased in the first season of the series and was later sold. Cody Connelly worked with OCC until 2007 when he left to join V-Force Customs. At V-Force he joined forces with a former colleague at OCC, Vincent DiMartino who also happened to be his friend.
Later on, in 2010, he started making appearances on a segment of American Chopper called American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior, which also airs on Discovery. His appearances on the show include collaborations with Paul Teutul Jr., the owner of Paul Jr. Designs and son of .
Since his exit from the show in 2007, fans of the motorbike builder have been quizzing to know his whereabouts. It appears that Cody’s on and off appearance on American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior was never enough for viewers. And so the question remains:
What Happened To the American Chopper Star?
It’s been over 10 years since the American Chopper star left the show and there has been nothing much heard of him. His appearance on Senior vs Junior was quite short-lived and afterward, Connelly has not made any other appearance on TV. It can be recalled that shortly after leaving the show in 2007, he sued OCC and Paul Teutul Sr. for breach of contract and fraud.
Cody Connelly had sued for damages against the company praying the court to compel OCC to compensate him for having used his brand name without his consent. He claimed that his brand name was used on posters, books, and other merchandise after his exit from the company. Connelly also claimed that Paul Teutul Sr. never gave him an old school chopper which was given to him as a gift on the show. He helped design the chopper according to him, and Tetul was meant to give it to him after the show but never did.
Cody said he was very young at the time and did not realize his entitlements until he left the show. However, in 2011 all the charges pressed by Cody were dropped as the case was settled then. The motorcycle builder is said to be working with a utility company. One of the reasons for Cody’s obscurity is that he is not active on social media. This is why fans are not able to catch up with recent happenings in his life.
His Net Worth
Several sources have estimated Cody Connelly’s net worth to be about $200,000. He has not come out to verify this and bearing in mind the fact that he maintains a secluded life, it cannot be said with certainty if this figure is correct or otherwise.
