Lola Glaudini rose to prominence when she played Elle Greenaway on CBS’ Criminal Minds. The actress is the daughter of Robert Glaudini, who is a playwright and his ex-wife Nina Diane Kapler. She was born in Manhattan, New York, on November 24, 1971. Interestingly, Lola has starred in one of her father’s plays The Poison. Her mother, who is remarried, is a writer and college instructor in California.

She completed her education at Bard College, a private liberal art college in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. Soon after her graduation, she started appearing in films in 1996, first of which was Without a Map. The same year, she debuted on television, starring as Dolores Mayo, a heroin-addicted office assistant in a few episodes of NYPD Blue. Before then, she was a regular on Criminal Minds. 

Aside from appearing in short films and playing minor roles, she landed her first main role as the character of Heather in the 2003 – 2004 crime series, The Handler. As a guest actress, Lola Glaudini has featured in movies such as The King of Queens (2000), Andy Richter Controls the Universe (2003), Las Vegas (2004), Crossing Jordan (2005), Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2007), The Good Guys (2010). 

Her most remarkable character portrayals include Federal Agent Deborah Ciccerone-Waldrup in the HBO series The Sopranos (2001 and 2004). She also played the role of Carmel Loan in the 2011 television film Certain Prey. The following year, she guest-starred in three films, including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, White Collar, and Person of Interest. 

In recent times, Lola is seen playing the role of Captain Shaddid in the fictional series The Expanse (2015). She also starred in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D from 2016 to 2018, and The Brave in 2018. Lola Glaudin was a regular face in episodes 1 and 2 (2005-2006) of the CBS series Criminals Minds as Elle Greenaway but left the show early during the second season. At the time, she did not confirm or clarify her reason for quitting the show which filmed in and around Los Angeles. Some sources said she was not happy living in Los Angeles and wanted to move back to the east coast.

The Executive Producer of the show Ed Bernero in his comments on Lola Glaudini’s exit said that “it was a mutual decision.” According to him, they were looking for a way to shake the cast up a little bit and she wanted to go home.

The actress resides in New York and also wished to return to her home to focus on her theatre career. Bernero further explained that she didn’t like it in Los Angeles and it was a very amicable parting. More so, there was no reason to mention her exit in the show.

Lola Glaudini is happily married to Stuart England, a jewelry designer. The couple walked down the aisle in 2005 after dating for a while. Since then, their union has been going stronger ever since and they have been together for over a decade and counting.
