Queen Elizabeth II, died peacefully on 8th September 2022 at her home which is located in Scotland. She was 96 years old. Queen’s health had worsened due to which she was kept under medical supervision. Her family members rushed to Balmoral Castle in Scotland to see her and be with her.

“The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family,” the new king, her eldest son Charles, said.

“I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world,” the 73-year-old said in a statement.

According to official birth records, Queen Elizabeth was born on April 21, 1926, in Mayfair, London, United Kingdom. Up until her ascension to the throne, she’s known as Princess Elizabeth of York. Her Majesty as of April 21, 2019, celebrated her 93rd birthday anniversary.

Elizabeth became heir presumptive in 1935 after her father became King, following the abdication of her uncle Edward VIII. She was subsequently proclaimed Queen in 1952 after news of the death of her ailing father broke.

She died on the 30 March 2002, in her sleep at 101 years and 238 days. Elizabeth Angela Marguerite holds the record as the longest-lived member of the royal family in British history.

Queen Elizabeth II only sibling was Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon. Until her death, Margaret was viewed as a controversial member of the Royal family because of her romantic affairs with several men (some extra-marital). Her personality came across as an opposite of her more cultured and controlled sister the Queen.

Margaret fell in love with Captain Peter Townsend a divorcee, the union was opposed by the Royal family, British Government and the Church of England who refused to support marriage to a divorced man. Margaret eventually married Antony Armstrong-Jones with whom she had two children – David Armstrong-Jones, Lady Sarah Chatto. The couple divorced in 1978.

Anne, Princess Royal

Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise was born on the 15th of August 1950 at Clarence House while her mother was still Princess Elizabeth. She is the only daughter of the Queen. She schooled at Benenden School and while at school she excelled at horse riding, a hobby she would take up as a sport and compete at the highest levels.

As an elite equestrian, she was a vital part of the winning British team at the European Eventing Championship in 1971 winning an individual title at the same competition. He attended primary school at the Heatherdown School in Berkshire after which he proceeded to The Gordonstoun boarding in Northern Scotland, in the footsteps of his father and older brother. After school, Andrew joined the Navy rather than go to University.

For the next two decades, Andrew would go on to have a decent naval career, flying helicopters during the Falkland Islands War. In his later years in service, he would work at the British Defense Ministry. Prince Andrew retired from the military in 2001. The Prince married Sarah Ferguson in July 1986. After his A-levels, Edwards who was a keen student enrolled at the Jesus College at the University of Cambridge where he studied History. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1986.

Edward joined the Royal Marines but dropped out three months into his 12-month program opting for a career in entertainment. For the next decade, Edward worked as a theater and TV producer, forming his own independent production company Ardent Productions in 1993.
