The South Korean reality variety show tagged We Got Married (Season 2) thrust prominent fame upon singer and actress Hwang Jung Eum when she made an appearance with her then-boyfriend Kim Yong-jun. The emerging star made use of the opportunity judiciously and is now enjoying the reward for her hard work in the entertainment industry.

Hwang Jung Eum is a past member of the popular K-pop music group known as Sugar, she became one of the famous actresses in South Korea through her performance in the South Korean TV series titled Giant in 2010. The talented actress, born under the Zodiac sign of Aquarius, made her entrance into the world on the 25th day of January 1985 in the city of Seoul, South Korea.

The only information on the singer’s educational background is that she graduated from the University of Suwon and made her debut in television series with her appearance in Princess Lulu in 2005. Her film debut was made four years later in 2009 on the set of The Relation of Face, Mind and Love but her breakthrough came through her role in High Kick Through the Roof which was very popular among fans.

Till date, the versatile actress has been busy climbing the ladder of success and she is not averse to hard work and dedication which are said to be the bedrock of success.

Husband and Family Life of The Actress

Although social media platforms are not overflowing with information about the immediate family of the South Korean actress, we have been able to gather from the available records that she was brought up alongside two elder brothers. The identity of her parents and siblings are still not known but we can tell a thing or two about the famed actress’ love life.

Her first publicised love which lasted for nine years was with SG Wannabe’s Kim Yong-jun. Their affair took off in 2005 when they met at the recording of SG Wannabe music video titled My Heart’s Treasure Box wherein Hwang Jung Eum had a starring role. The couple confirmed their relationship status at the beginning of 2008 but after a long period of nine years, the news of their break-up came through Yonhap News Agency on the 15th of May 2015 and that was after Hwang was through with the filming of Kill Me, Heal Me.

A publication by the famed actress’ agency C-JeS Entertainment on the 8th of December 2015, confirmed a relationship between Hwang Jung Eum and professional golfer cum businessman Lee Young-don. After confirming their relationship status, the celebrity couple announced their wedding the next month, this was just after five months of courtship.

Hwang who had been busy with the wedding preparations confessed that what attracted her to her spouse was his looks but as she got to know him better, she discovered that despite his smashing looks, the hunk has a heart of gold and gives others their due respect. According to Hwang, she was hooked and couldn’t wait to spend forever with this great guy.

 

The much-anticipated wedding came to pass on the 26th of February 2016 and true to expectations, the wedding which took place at Hotel Shilla was a glamorous affair with beautiful decorations and a guest list of over 700 people who honored the occasion.

The next year (February 2017), the talented actress was confirmed to be four months pregnant and precisely, on the 15th day of August 2017, the couple welcomed their first child. The actress has plans of coming back to acting after childbirth; to her, the film set is a place to have fun.

Hwang Jung Eum and her beau seem to be living in a world of their own, untouched by the realities around them. In fact, Scarlet Heart: Ryeo’s episode 16 was actually delayed because the lovebirds were watching a baseball game together. They were caught on camera where they looked so engrossed in the game with Hwang leaning on her husband’s shoulder, listening to him talk about the game and giving him occasional kisses on the cheek while she caresses his face in a suggestive way. As a typical Korean would put it, it was an adorable public display of skinship!
