With new groups popping up every year and joining the already seemingly crowded genre that is K-pop, the best artists, whether single or band, have something that distinguishes them from the rest. SEVENTEEN, a 13-member boy band, can thank its strength in number as its distinguishing factor in the saturated field. In this article, we discuss SEVENTEEN members’ profiles as well as facts and everything you need to know about the group.

The self-sufficient group was created in 2015 by artist management label, Pledis Entertainment. They are called self-sufficient because the group is divided into three sub-units, each of which specializes in different units, between vocals, hip-hop, and performance, thus maximizing their musical productivity.
