1. Trolls World Tour has an Intriguing Storyline

This upcoming animated musical comedy film has an intriguing as well as a suspense-filled storyline. It follows two trolls – Poppy and Branch, as they discover the existence of six different troll tribes; this happens four years after the events in the first movie took place. Each of these tribes is also devoted to six different music genres including Country, Funk, Techno, Classical, Rock, and Pop.

While the Hard Rock Trolls Queen Barb and her father, King Thrash set out to destroy the other kinds of music, the fate of the world lies solely on Poppy and Branch. As a result, the duo goes on a courageous mission to unite all the troll tribes, in order to save their diverse melodies from becoming extinct.

2. It is the Fifth Animated Musical Film From DreamWorks

Yes, you heard right. Trolls World Tour is ‘ fifth musical film, after Joseph: King of Dream, The Road to El Dorado, The Prince of Egypt, and its prequel, Trolls. That’s not all; it will also be the fifth DreamWorks animation film to become a franchise, after Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, How To Train Your Dragon, and Shrek.

3. It has an Ensemble Cast

Trolls World Tour will be featuring very interesting talent that will serve as the voices for various characters within the story. While and will reprise their roles as Poppy and Branch, respectively, other stars such as will also be joining the cast as Thrash, former King of the Hard Rock Trolls and Barb’s father.

Other cast members include (as Queen Barb, the queen of the Hard Rock Trolls), (as Delta Dawn, the leader of the Country Troll); (as Essence Queen of the Funk Trolls); George Clinton (as King Quincy, King of the Funk Trolls; (as DJ Suki, the Trolls’ resident disc jockey); Anthony Ramos (as King Trollex, the king of the Techno Trolls); and (as Guy Diamond, a glittery, silver naked troll with a highly auto-tuned voice), etc.

4. When Will Trolls World Tour Be Released?

According to DreamWorks, this Trolls movie is set to be released in the year 2020 by Universal Pictures. Notably, it will be Universal Pictures’ second animated theatrical film to be released in April, after Hop that came in 2011. Although the film was initially set to be launched on April 10, 2020, it was later pushed up to February 14, before being moved back to 17th April 2020.

More so, when the promotional artwork released by DreamWorks shows Poppy and Branch together with Valentine’s release date below them, it prompted speculations among the fans, as many think that the sequel may be about an official love story between Branch and Poppy. However, they were just speculation and has not been officially confirmed by DreamWorks.
