There are conflicting reports on the birthplace of Rosa Salazar, while her wiki page says she was born in Washington D.C, an MTV dossier says she was born in Canada. There is, however, a consensus on when she was born and where she was raised. She was birthed on the 16th of July 1985 and brought up in Greenbelt, Maryland. There is currently no information about her birth parents but we know she is of Cuban descent, suggesting her parents or one of them is Cuban.

Rosa has always had an affinity with the arts, especially acting while she was growing up. As a child, Rosa was hyperactive and turned to whatever form of expression she could find to expel her built-in energy.

She became an entertainer when she was 15 and as she progressed and became more confident in her talents, she took her career in acting a lot more seriously.
