Erik Salitan is an Aquarian as he was born on the 9th day of February in New York City, USA. He grew up in the rural lower 48 states in the upstate of New York where he had a simple life.

He completed his 12th grade at Finger Lakes Community College after which he enrolled at the University of Fairbanks where he obtained a degree in Applied Science.

Following his graduation and being an adventurous person right from childhood, Erik decided to relocate to Wiseman, 67 miles in the Arctic region to begin living the life he has always dreamed of.

In Wiseman, and with his knowledge of surviving in the wild, fishing, tracking, and hunting games, Salitan set up a guide and outfitting business which he named Bushwhack Alaska Guiding and Outfitting.

Through this venture, he renders tour guides, accommodation, and food facilities in the Brooks Range and another in Peninsula to visitors desirous of having a tour in the Alaskan region.

In doing this, Erik Salitan has not only become successful; he has equally become famous in the region for his expertise in living and surviving strategies in the Alaskan wilderness.

The tour guide is equally a member of various conservation and hunting groups some of which are the Northwest Sportsman Club and Alaska Professional Hunters Association.
