Jim Breuer is an American actor, stand up comedian, and a radio host. As a comedian, he has proven himself very versatile over the years, adopting improvisational, observational, musical, character and self-deprecation comedy. He addresses parenting, marriage and everyday life in his comedy sets.

Jim was a cast member on the long-running, award-winning sketch show – Saturday Night Live, from 1995 till 1998. He has also appeared in several films and television shows including Half Baked, Titan A.E., Clerks: The TV Show, American Dummy, Once in the Life, Crooked Lines, More than Me, School Dance, Motorcity and much more. In fact, Jim Breuer has been active in Hollywood since 1988.

Jim Breuer Biography (Age)

James E. Breuer was born on the 21st of June, 1967 in Valley Stream, New York. He attended Valley Stream Central High School where he met Fred Armisen, who later became an SNL cast member as well.

His father who was a World War II veteran passed away on the 25th Aug 2014. Beyond this, not a lot is known about Jim Breuer’s early life. Perhaps the actor has taken a decision to keep that part of his life private.

His television career began when he appeared on the Uptown Comedy Club weekly television show prior to joining Saturday Night Live. While on SNL, his characters were well received and he was a valued member of the cast. He also appeared on the critically acclaimed series, Home Improvement in a guest starring position. jim was later supposed to star in the television series Buddies, but he was pulled from the show after filming the pilot. In any case, the series was unfortunately short-lived.

In 1998, he began hosting “The Jim Breuer Show” which aired on MTV. The show aired on weekdays at 5:30 PM  and it showcased Jim performing skits as different characters, it also included different guest comics including , Judah Friedlander, and Jeff Ross.

He appeared in 1998 stoner comedy, Half Baked, alongside Guillermo Diaz and . The film was directed by Tamra Davis and produced by Robert Simonds. More to that, Jim hosted Comedy Central’s Premium Blends and several other shows including Web Junk 20 on VH1.

In 2002, he landed his first Comedy Central special, Hardcore. He also released Smoke ‘n’ Breu, his comedy album, the same year. The comedian got his second Comedy Central special, Let’s Clear The Air, in 2009 and it became one of Comedy Central’s highest-rated comedy specials in its history.

Apart from the foregoing, the man has appeared in commercials for Pizza Hut where he advertised cheese crust-filled pizzas. After that, Jim starred in When Metallica Ruled the World, a VH1 documentary discussing Metallica songs through the years. In 2016, he was cast in the CBS sitcom Kevin Can Wait, a sitcom starring Kevin James.

In 2008, the comedian went on his “Breuniversity Tour”, a comedy tour across 20 university campuses and several comedy clubs across the country. He also used footage from the tour in his documentary, More Than Me. Two years later (2010), he published his book – I’m Not High (But I’ve Got a Lot of Crazy Stories about Life as a Goat Boy, a Dad, and a Spiritual Warrior) – which was undeniably a bestseller.

Jim also launched a podcast with Pete Correale, the comedian. The podcast which went live in 2011 was called “The Podcast Masters”. Still, in 2011, he presented at the Metallica’s 30th Anniversary show. He was also a comedian on the Opie and Anthony Show, a radio show hosted by Anthony Cumia and Gregg “Opie” Hughes

Jim Breuer’s Family: Wife and Daughters

Much like his early life, notoriously little is known about his personal life. It is known, however, that Jim got married to his wife, Dee in 1993. The couple has three daughters together, including Gabrielle Breuer. Jim Breuer lives with his family in Chester Township, New Jersey. His other daughters are only a few years younger than Gabrielle who was born in 1999.

Besides this, the only other personal information that is known about Jim is that he is a dedicated fan of the New York Mets, New York City’s professional football team.
